Regional Accreditation
Batten University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, and masters degrees. Batten University may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Program Accreditations
The University's Bachelor of Arts in Recreation and Leisure Studies is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Related Professions (COART). The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Batten University's Professional Education Program is approved by the Virginia Board of Education (Virginia Department of Education Approved Teacher Education Programs) according to standards set out in the Code of Virginia and Regulations Governing the Review and Approval of Education Program in Virginia.
