Psychology That Works — In the Real World
Batten's online Master of Arts in Applied Psychology is a 30-credit program that bridges rigorous psychological science and the practical skills organizations actually need. The curriculum covers applied data analysis, equity and inclusion, workplace assessment, motivation, stress and resilience, cognition, organizational behavior, and research methodology — giving you a working knowledge of how psychological principles operate in nonprofit, government, and corporate environments. The program is designed for professionals already working in fields related to human behavior who want to advance, and for those building toward new careers in HR, organizational development, and applied research. The capstone course puts everything into practice, using real-world data to design and analyze qualitative and quantitative research projects that mirror the work you'll do on the job.
Course Information
All 10 courses are required. A prerequisite course in Statistics is required for admission — students who have not completed Statistics should speak with an enrollment counselor before applying.

Admission Requirements
- Complete our online application.
- Provide official academic transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities previously attended. If more than one institution has been attended, the cumulative GPA for all coursework attempted must be 2.7 or higher. In addition, the GPA earned at the institution where the bachelor's degree was awarded must be 2.7 or higher.
- Have a bachelor's degree (or one anticipated before starting the program).
- Have completed a course in Statistics. Individuals missing this prerequisite are encouraged to speak with an enrollment counselor to explore their options for enrollment.
